Five babies died in a hospital fire in Romania this week while seven were badly injured due to lack of training of medical staff according to the fire fighting department in Bucharest.
The fire fighting department said that the medical team wasn’t trained enough to deal with fire and accident which caused the tragedy. Ten Israeli doctors traveled to Romania to help treating the infants who were injured in Giulesti Maternity Hospital in Bucharest. The babies’ death is just a new incident on a long list of accidents, which have taken place in Romanian hospitals in the last two years.
EMAJ magazine is covering the situation of medical care in Romanian hospitals and will publish a new package from Bucharest soon.
